How will Fire phone benefit you as a college student?

College students spend a lot of time searching for a best deal on textbooks. Fire phone offers a useful online shopping search engine to make your search easier. Students who buy Fire phone will receive one year Prime membership for FREE, which is equivalent to $99 $49 per year (student price).  If you are a prime member already, Amazon is going to add an additional year of membership at no additional cost. One of the many benefits of being a Prime member is you get to have free 2-day shipping. Not only will this save college students a lot of money, but it will also save so much time. Many of the college textbooks are on Amazon for you to buy or rent. Do you need the textbook the next day? No problem! You can just pay $3.99 for shipping and you can have the textbook at your door the following day.  Also, did you know that we have an Amazon locker at CSUF campus? Which means you can pick up your order as soon as you get to school.
With Prime-membership, you can also enjoy:
  • Unlimited music streaming
  • Watch unlimited movies and TV shows with Prime Instant Video
  • A Prime membership includes over 500,000 free eBooks
  • Free, unlimited cloud storage, in full resolution, for all photos taken with Fire phone
Moreover, searching for school supplies is faster and more convenient with Fire Phone. For example, what if there’s a certain product that you want to purchase but it doesn’t have a barcode and you’re not sure where you can buy it? With Fire Phone camera, you can just push a button to take a picture of the product, and Amazon will show you where you can buy it on the website. Amazon calls this function "Firefly." It quickly recognizes things in the real world, even web and email addresses, phone numbers, QR and bar codes, movies, music, and millions of products, and lets you take action in seconds (Amazon).

How is it different from Apple and Samsung?

The Amazon Fire phone employs Android system and has several additional apps built-in the smartphone. If you are one of the "Android People," you won't need to worry about how many extra budget you need to spend for every single app. Unlike Apple’s iOS, Android People can enjoy many apps they want for free! Amazon’s Fire’s additional functions include cloud services with unlimited photo streaming, a content-forward user interface, built-in media libraries, productivity apps, and platform enhancements to integrate Amazon's digital content and improve performance.
Moreover, the Fire phone will have a new feature called Dynamic Perspective that uses a new sensor system to respond to the way you hold, view, and move Fire. The Dynamic Perspective also allows one-handed reading -- with auto-scroll, the user can scan long web pages without ever having to touch the screen.
It also has a better viewing indoors and out. Fire phone's 4.7" HD display features dynamic image contrast, a wide viewing angle, circular polarizer, and an industry-leading ultra-bright display at 590 nits, making it easy to see in all lighting conditions. The function lets students read books on Fire Phone easier as well.

  1. The idea of the Amazon Fire Phone is fantastic! I, myself, am an Amazon Prime Membership user! Considering I mostly use it for books, the free and fast shipping really come in handy. Would this phone be sponsored in all major carriers like Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and etc.?

There are only a few concerns for this phone I have a fellow marketer. The phone itself has some interesting features that come with the Prime Membership, but that's one of the concerns. Unless you are already an Amazon Prime Member, not many customers may want to pay and extra $50+ for an extra service that provides similar services that people can get for free from the likes of Pandora for music and Dropbox for some cloud space. So other than these services, the major concern is, what is going to separate this phone and make people want to buy it over Samsung or Apple.

    1. Yes Robin, with AT&T plan you can get it for only $199.99.
Im glad you enjoy the Prime membership, well sometimes my orders arrived the next day, isn't that awesome.
Well with this product it works both ways for Amazon, get more new Prime members (by offering free for one whole year) as well as attracting existing members for them to get the phone. Existing members already enjoy Prime, now the phone makes it easier to purchase your items by simply taking a photo.
Also, Amazon offer UNLIMITED photo storage for free (you only get a certain space on Dropbox)
Since Amazon came in late in the game, so promotions would be their strategies for sure.
      Hope that helps.

  3. This phone is beneficial for people that currently have or want Amazon Prime, because of its ability to stream movies and music from the site and such. It is a very good idea that you guys are hitting that hard to promote this phone!
